Those two items, unsurprisingly, were among most popular of 2015, according to a survey recently issued by the brand. Hey, guess what? You're not the only one hoarding Trader Joe's Cookie Butter and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. Whole Foods reacted with a plan to create 365 Market, a grocery store that aims to keep prices comparable to what's found at Trader Joe's. This is Trader Joe's first major price cut since 2013, when the company went into about 300 stores and cut the prices of 200 products. (i.e., a filled cart at TJ's costs $240 and one at WF's costs $303.) No big deal, you say? Well it, is a big deal, according to Business Insider: "That's a wider price gap than in previous checks, leading analysts to believe that Trader Joe's is implementing across-the-board price cuts, similar to what the company did a couple of years ago." And even better news-it looks like Whole Foods is following suit, lowering its prices in order to stay competitive. ![]() Business Insider reported on a study conducted by the Deutsche Bank analysts that found that NYC Trader Joe's products are on average 26 percent cheaper than those at Whole Foods. Today, my friends, is a wonderful day because prices just got even cheaper. Trader Joe's is known for a few things: heavenly cookie butter, the best frozen food section in the game, and of course, the cheap products.
